Maintenance Mechanic

The RVSA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic. Responsibilities: Receives assignments for work to be performed throughout the day from the Maintenance Manager and/or Maintenance Coordinator or Chief Mechanic, and is responsible for completing those assignments utilizing the proper tools and methods. Corrective maintenance work performed throughout the plant includes but is not limited to repairing pumps, valves, piping, screening equipment, grit collection equipment, chlorination and UV equipment, digester gas collection and distribution systems, Belt Press units, sludge and chemical additive conveying equipment, stationary diesel engines, stationary gas engines, etc. Preventive maintenance work includes lubrication of equipment, changing oils and filters, etc.

Qualifications include fluency in English, a High School Diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs., and a minimum of five years related experience or trade school. Welding experience and EPA 608 HVAC certification are preferred. Candidates must pass a maintenance exam and be available for emergencies. A NJ Black Seal Low Pressure License is preferred, along with a valid NJ driver's license. Candidates must also be able to train for forklift and backhoe operation. Status: Must possess a New Jersey Basic Driver's License.
